He’s an award-winning Toronto realtor, one half of the Matt & Ben real estate team. Ben’s entrepreneurial spirit is rooted in nightlife culture. He’s been involved in countless nightclub-related projects as a promoter, manager, and owner.

In 1992, Ben and a partner opened Toronto’s first rave merchandise shop called X-Static at Queen West and John St. That same year Ben teamed up with Mike Bowie to form a rave organization known as Sykosis, which held countless events at 318 Richmond Street West.

Throughout the mid-1990s, Ben hosted and promoted numerous nights at club venues such as RPM, The Warehouse, The Joker, and other venues owned by the Liberty Entertainment Group. Other notable projects include Futureshock all-ages events, Sykosis Ravestock (Canada’s first multi-day rave festival), Escape, and Vision. He was also co-owner of Buzz, a weekly after-hours event showcasing international DJs.

Ben went on to become the promotions manager of Industry Nightclub from 1996 to 1999. Following this, he co-owned and managed NASA Dance Pub with Jim Applegath. NASA was a mini-club on Queen Street West that was open 7 days a week for 5 years.
